Full Description

Small Admiralty pattern anchor, known as a fisherman's anchor, recovered during dredging in Portsmouth Harbour. This type of anchor is designed for use in reefs, rocks and weed. The anchor may have been discarded as it had a broken shank. It dated to the 19th or 20th century.
