Full Description
Three fragments of leather shoe recovered from Portsmouth Harbour during dredging as part of the Queen Elizabeth Class Capital Dredge Project in 2017. The fragments were possibly from the same shoe and included the heel, which had wooden pegs, the inner sole and outer sole. They appeared to be from a right shoe approximately 7-8 men's size/6.5-7.5 women's. They dated from between the 16th and 19th century.
