Full Description
Memorial commemorating Brigadier General FW Lunsden, VC, d.1918. On one side of the obelisk is a bronze relief portrait of Lunsden, and on others commemorative plaques which record that Lunsden was awarded the Victoria Cross on 8 June 1917 for having brought in 6 captured enemy guns under heavy fire. The memorial was previously sited at the west end of the parade ground.
