Pump house, boiler house and chimney to the former Portsmouth Corporation sewage Pumping Station at Eastney. Built in 1887. The pump house contains a pair of Boulton Watt beam engines and pumps. The site is now an industrial museum.

Pump house, boiler house and chimney to the former Portsmouth Corporation Pumping Station at Eastney. Built in 1887. The station was designed by Frederick Bramwell, and pumped the sewage from across Portsea Island out to sea via Langstone Harbour. The pump house contains a pair of Boulton Watt beam engines and pumps, which were kept in operating condition until 1954. The buildings and beam engine were subsequently restored and opened as an industrial museum in 1972. The site is maintained and operated by Portsmouth Museum Service (Portsmouth City Council) and is known as Eastney Beam Engine House.

The pump house, boiler house and chimney form a group with an Engine House built in 1865 (MPM557) and gas engine house built in 1904 containing Crossley Engines and Tongye Pumps (see MPM558). All of these buildings were part of the former Portsmouth Corporation Pumping Station, and have been listed.
