Engine house to the former Portsmouth Corporation Pumping Station at Eastney. Built in 1865. The building is now used as a workshop and store.

The engine house forms a group with the pump house, boiler house and chimney built in 1887 (see MPM556) and Gas Engine House built in 1904 containing Crossley Engines and Tongye Pumps (MPM558). All of these buildings were part of the former Portsmouth Corporation Pumping Station, and have been listed.
